We are pleased to invite you to an in-depth talk of Giovanni Anselmo’s exhibition at the gallery’s venue
The discussion, moderated by the art historian and curator, will explore Anselmo’s legacy and his ability to anticipate issues that are urgent today, such as the non-hierarchical but interconnected relationship between the individual and nature.
Starting from natural forces and materials understood as active elements of the work, the discussion will examine his influence on contemporary Italian art and beyond. Drawing on the artists’ experiences, the conversation will explore iconographic and conceptual resonances, affinities, and diverse sources of inspiration. A discussion on how the work of Giovanni Anselmo (Borgofranco d’Ivrea, Turin, 1934 – Turin, 2023) continues to generate new possibilities for thinking about matter, nature, and the artwork.
Refreshments will follow.
