Abbas Kiarostami | Sotto le nuvole (Under the Clouds)

During his journeys, Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami used the side window or the windshield of the car as a cinematic frame: a threshold, a way of observing and composing the world.
He would often switch off the windshield wipers rather than clear the glass. He wanted the raindrops to remain, forming a living barrier between the observer and the outside world
